Don't you think your being a bit harsh?
Most people think any Necronomicon is fake without even trying it
just because of it's name and it's close to the Lovecraft Mythos.

There are many different kinds of Magic/Sorcery and people find what works
for them by trying it out and may even end up making their own system.

Take Astral Projection, there are many different way's to do it, it's not an easy
things to do and master. I see Tyson's book just a different way to work
with it even though it may not be promoted as such. What if your friend or
anyone is into the Lovecraft Mythos and are working with Astral Projection
with no good results. The Tyson 13 Gates may get someone that is into the
Lovecraft Mythos that extra boost and can start to get results.

I would call that a worth while investment and time, We are all looking for
the right mix to get results in doing Magic/Sorcery. Lovecraft was hooked
into a current and he got most of his inspiration from the Dreamland.

You must enjoy whatever system of Magic that you are doing,
as in the end it's the results that count.

dear lord, nabu is going to have a fieldday. hopefully you will understand that he provides what he calls gentle corrections to semantics and you wont be put off. the mention of astral and systems is why is say this especially. nabu wrote some excellent stuff about Tyson and the systems derived from lovecraft in revelations. you might check that one out sometime too. enjoy the forum.

Thank you for your post, SilverWolf and I should tell you that I have respect for Tyson based on things that have nothing to do with the recent Llewellyn Cycle of the Lovecraftian Necronomicon.
