“A subservient class, sometimes also referred to as Anunnaki (literally: “heaven down to earth”) are recorded on ancient tablets as the I.GI.GI or “Watchers.” These beings were on earth prior to mankind for a significant period of time. They were doing most of the manual labor that might be equated to the work of men now. It was essentially the preparation of the earth planet for perfect sustainable life, first realized in Sumerian literature as the “E.DIN” and the later attempted again in Babylon. Didn't Enki do this? Or was he taking the credit for it? I can't remember the tablet, but I thought Enki was behind the whole digging.

Well the quote you are using is from our tablet findings.... I'm sure there are other versions too that will indicate Enki did this or Enlil did that just as there are three different "heroes" in the slaying of KUR from three different pre-Babylonian (Sumerian) versions alone... The idea that a group of workers did this would make much more sense on a physical level. The idea that Enki or Enlil "willed" such into being might also apply - however, the command being fixed, the work still had to be done by someone. ...I dont see Enki digging ditches personally...
