Anunnaki Sumerian Gods & Modern Magick
[Image: hcBibleCvrV1.2.0-196x300.jpg]

posted from the Mardukite NecroGate.

“Combined, it is the self-honest realization of who these Anunnaki figures were in our past and how they still hold relevant with us today – the academic and spiritual sides complement one another. More than simply the evolution of an oral tradition or a channeled book of spells, the Anunnaki appear in the most ancient written spiritual and technological documents in existence on the planet, from the very birth-place of human civilization, places carrying all-too-familiar names: Sumer, Babylon, Eden, and eventually Egypt and elsewhere.”

“The current Mardukite work has been prepared for the specific reason of introducing the Anunnaki in a concise manner to those who have not yet been intensely educated in such – and then also, for those who have already been working to establish their own personal revivals, and will surely welcome another cornerstone to base such. Seekers and Adepts alike will strongly benefit of the research and materials presented in the Necronomicon Anunnaki Bible (edited by Joshua Free) and the new Gates of the Necronomicon: Establishing Your Relationship with the Anunnaki Gods (by Joshua Free & Sarah Banas).”

Being that the lore has not been as readily accessible as the other pantheons found in revival traditions (Celtic, Norse, Egyptian, etc.) - I think it has just not been as convenient to do so. Some traditions do invoke some of the names in their practices (I know I've seen some Wiccan rites that call on Ishtar/Inanna) I dont know of too many paths that have emphasized the Sumerian pantheon.

Hmmm. Do you think other traditions, such as Wicca, will start to involve Sumerian concepts more into their work with this new revival?

Its possible that many will start to see more connections to the most ancient system in time. Given that an eclectic group has been attracted to these mysteries it will be interesting to see the influence as time unfolds.

i have noticed most groups/sects do not know anything of thier roots. just follow a doctrin laid before them. even sometimes into the priesthoods or leadership. especially wiccans and biblical sects. they are determined that they are the oldest set of beliefes and yet have never stopped to consider much less research outside of what someone else tells them. but then again, most people find a groove they are comfertable in and stick with it. were as i believe, one my not always be comfertable with the truth, but that doesnt change the fact that it is. for instance, a lot of people are not happy with the idea that man was originally made as a labor/slave race.

Doesn't matter if they're comfortable or not, it's what they were.

Then again, I don't think humans really ever evolved out of the slave mentality - if not for one thing, it's a slave for another.
